Late Pickup and Lack of Information

We were quoted a rate that we assumed would allow us to have a carrier pick our car up before we left town. Our window started July 5th and ran to the 11th, but we didn't get a carrier to pick the car up until the 12th which forced us to leave the car with a friend. If we didn't have anyone to leave the car with I'm not sure what we would have done. We also bumped up the quoted amount by $50 to attract a carrier, which seems like it shouldn't have been necessary if we had a good quote given the wide pickup window we had. The car did arrive quickly, however we didn't receive a notification from the carrier until an hour before they planned on giving us the car. We were driving across the country ourselves and fortunately had arrived the previous day, otherwise I'm not sure what would have happened.

Thank you for your feedback, Mike. Sorry that your transport took a while to confirm, your timing was affected by a back log from the holiday weekend. Apologies that Jason was not more clear about that - even when you give us notice, options are often quite limited in the week before and after a major holiday.
