So the issue was not Auto Shipping Group per se as Chell was prompt and helpful but the trucking company we went through had very bad customer service. They set up a time to pick up my car then called me a day early and said they were coming. Then their truck broke down which cannot be foreseen but they made no attempt to contact me and let me know they'd be late. Chell was great at getting a hold of them but when they finally called me, the woman on the phone was rude. Although I was told my car would get to me in 6-10 days and it took 13 she was not apologetic. Her only words were "we never guaranteed anything".
Finally, my car arrived but it arrived in the morning, when I was at work, instead of the evening when I was told it would arrived. Also, the carrier called me when he got to my house rather than say 30-1hr beforehand so I could be ready.
It was a frustrating experience and the worst thing about it is there's no negotiating. No matter how angry, frustrated, or unhappy with the service I was, the carrier's response was you signed a contract and you owe us x. Since they had my car, I had nothing to withhold. That's when I would have liked Auto Shipping Group to step up on my behalf and I don't feel like they did.
I really liked Chell, she was nice, courteous, and returned calls promptly but I feel like the purpose of going through an auto broker is to pick a trustworthy carrier who has good service and this was not the case.
I don't know if this is just how shipping goes but it seems unfortunate if it is.

CHELL HART ***(360) 207-5490*** I really appreciate the time you took to write this response. I believe the only way the auto shipping industry can identify and maintain the best carriers is if our customer base responds about their experience. As a broker, I have to rely on the rating status on Central dispatch and those reviews are generated by other brokers. The carrier we selected had a good rating on Central, had appropriate levels of insurance, showed a great rating with the Better Business Bureau, and was willing to go along a route that isn’t popular. You really experienced a “Perfect Storm” and it was rough! I was glad to know you felt I had tried my hardest to smooth out this bumpy ride.
