This was the 1st time shipping my car cross country from NY to CA and it was overwhelming with all the different companies out there calling with different quotes and fees. I had been looking online research about 3 months in advance before I had decided upon Amerifrieght about a month in advance before I had to move. After choosing and confirming the quote I had thought that they would start the process of looking for a transporter however they don't start looking for a transporter until the 1st available date that your car is available for pick up even after you decide to go with them the only good part is that they don't charge you the broker fee until they actually find you a carrier. In order for my car to be transported I had to increase the original quote of 1250 and extra 200$. If I knew that the 1st available date that the car could be shipped I probably would of chosen an earlier date instead of one close to when I was moving. Contacting customer service can be difficult no point in calling the phone number listed. The easiest way for communication with the customer representative was through email. Once they found a carrier my car was picked up and shipped all in a timely manner. Although it was difficult to contact the carrier just to clarify if they accepted COD/ Cashiers check Jessica my agent was able to provide the information I needed and told me that the carrier does not frequently pick up phone calls. My car was delivered in 9 days just covered in dirt. The only thing about the transport that the carrier had driven my car for 50 miles which I wasn't aware that they would be driving my car that far. I'm just glad my car made it in one piece with no damages.
