Paid the deposit and confirmed the order on the 2nd, and heard back fairly quickly. Pickup date was set for the 7th and heard from AmeriFreight on the 13th. However, from there it is down hill. I was bombarded with calls and an email while I was talking to my new boss on my first day at my new job and left a message to call AmeriFreight right away. I was able to call them back fairly quickly, however I was given about 10 minutes to figure out if I could pay 1150 to ship my car the next day vice the 850 I was originally quoted. I would say this was my biggest issue. Pay over 33% more than I was quoted or risk not getting my vehicle for who knows how long. This is my fourth time shipping my vehicle and the first I ever had to pay more than I was quoted. So I agreed to the extra $300. Turns out that the transport that was suppose to pick up my vehicle on the 14th, which was why I had to rush my decision, didn't pick it up until the 16th pushing it back a day at a time. Then after they picked up my vehicle I safely assumed that I was not going to receive my vehicle on the estimated day of the 18th. But neither did I receive a call from anybody giving me a new estimated day, nor did I receive a phone call back from the transporter after I left a message. So with no communication I received phone calls on the 19th, again while I was at my new job, letting me know they were ready to drop off my vehicle. The lack of communication obviously makes it impossible to properly plan leaving the entire experience stressful. This was certainly the most stress I've ever had to endure while shipping my vehicle and have no intentions of using AmeriFreight in the future. Really, I would have taken other options available to me at the time I agreed to AmeriFreight's quote had I known it was going to be 1150. But going from past experience with other companies I had believe the quote would stick.

We apologize to our customer for falling below his expectations. We pride ourselves on having excellent communication between our customer service agents and our customers. We explain to each of our customers that choosing to ship at the economy rate requires a more open schedule for pick up and delivery dates. We do, however, have several priority shipment options for those who may have time constraints. Though no broker can guarantee that their process is 100% accurate, we can proudly say that we have saved numerous customers substantial amounts of money by keeping their rates much lower than other companies offer.
