Positives:Generally polite service (excluding the trucking company they selected to transport my vehicle).
Negatives: I selected the value-shipping on 8/20 quoted at $845.00. I did so b/c I had flexibility in the pick-up time. 8/30 came about and I received a call indicating that they couldn't find anyone to deliver my car for that price and was quoted $1,145.00. I accepted b/c, I was in a bit of a bind. Nonetheless, I figured (from my dialog with them) that they would vet the shipping company well and everything would be seamless. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The shipping company would not respond to phone calls promptly. All-in-all, I would give them a D+, as I eventually paid the same price several other brokers quoted me to ship my car on 8/20 with 24-hours notice. Amerifreight, does spend a good deal of effort in encouraging "good" reviews: prices for the best review selected, discounts, etc... None of these practices are illegal, however, this practice may skew their overall ratings.
My Advise: Plan in advance, go with the cheapest quote and have your vehicle insured privately to allay any concerns of damage. Also, consider dealing directly with a trucking company to save a few hundred dollars. Good Luck!
