I did some extensive research for shipping my son's car from Virginia to California. He was moving across country for college and I wanted to be sure his car was shipped there safely, quickly and with reasonable costs.
I did an online search and found Amerifreight had very high ratings with many positive online reviews for customer service and price. There were so many that I was quite skeptical! I've heard of reviews being posted by company employees, and truthfully, in this day and age, you just don't know what to trust when getting it off the internet. However, after reading over 30 positive reviews, I decided to contact them and see where that would take me.
It took me to Graham Turner, the agent who worked with me from beginning to end. Not only was his customer service exemplary, he came across as a genuinely nice man who was honestly interested in helping me.
I told Graham about moving my son cross-country where he would be attending college at an out-of-state tuition rate. I also disclosed that the ultimate goal for me was to get my son's car to California safely with a reputable company and at the lowest possible cost. He explained to me in great length how the shipping prices worked and helped me determine if I needed additional protection like a closed trailer, added insurance, set pickup dates. I believe I kept him on the phone for over an hour during our first conversation!
Graham called me before the car shipped, while it was en route and after the car arrived. I felt so at ease with the transaction because of his attention.
My son's car was transported by a very nice driver, who arrived to our meeting place early, called my twice en route to CA and was incredibly kind to my son when he came to pick up his car.
I highly recommend Amerifreight to anyone needing to have their vehicle shipped. It is rare to encounter customer service agents as kind and concerned for their customers as those I dealt with at Amerifreight...I am grateful to have had the opportunity to do business with a company that still believes in taking care of their customers!
