I had purchased a vehicle and was wanting to have it shipped from Boston to Knoxville, TN. One of the companies recommended from Ebay was United Road. On December 3, I spoke with Aaron at United and arranged all of the details. He then sent me an agreement which I signed and returned to him. On Monday the 6th, they were paid. I was assured that they would have a driver assigned within a few days even though the agreement stated 1 to 7 business days. After that I received no communication from United. Every time I tried to call Aaron at his extension, he never answered the phone and his mailbox was always filled.

I then tried to communicate with whomever answered the phone and got generic answers like they are attempting to find a driver and the weather is bad. I expressed my concern that this was going to bleed into Christmas. They had assured me many times that would not happen. After the 7 business days had expired I was still getting the same generic answers. Nothing had changed. On December 16, I called them and asked to cancel. Then somebody called me back (the first time). After 13 days, I was pretty angry and told them I didn't appreciate being "jerked around" all this time. They then promised a refund.

The whole point is, there is always bad weather somewhere. Certainly a transport company knows this and factors this into their 1 to 7 day guideline. The worst part of it is their lack of communication and continual lying about their lack of progress.

My solution was to go to Boston myself and bring the car back. That took 2 days.

Mr Zerbel placed his order on December 3rd, the order was activated on December 6th after origin confirmation that the vehicle was paid for and ready for pick up. At time order was placed customer was given an estimated time frame of 1-7 business days to get a carrier assigned...which was reviewed, signed by customer and returned. on Thursday Dec 8th, customer called for status Monday Dec 13th, customer was contacted by UR's customer service department with status on order, still actively looking for carrier Tues Dec 14th, origin called in, gave status and went over estimated time frames Wed Dec 15th, on 7th business day after order was active customer called and requested a cancellation of his order... Customers order was cancelled and full refund was issued.
