fair to poor service

Pioneer transport service was overall fair, as they did deliver my car in one piece - sort of - for the agreed upon price. The fact that it arrived filthy was expected, as it was carried on an open truck. The actual delivery was overly complicated, involving 4 phone calls over 4-5 days to arrange the drop-off, but the irksome piece was the car arrived with paint scratches on a door handle that were not on the car at pickup or on the originating bill of lading. What bothered me, and what you should beware of, was the way Pioneer handled my bringing this to their attention. It was summarily dismissed by them, as I didn't notice it until I washed the car a couple days after pickup. With all the dirt on the car it was hard to see anyway, and the fact that I picked the car up on the shoulder of a busy 4-lane road, with the scratched handle facing a lane of traffic - I had to actually step into the lane of traffic to inspect that side of the vehicle! -was met with no response from them when I mentioned this. Zippo. I cannot endorse Pioneer for this reason.

This customer failed to note the damage on the BOL upon delivery. He told us about the damage several days after receiving this vehicle. For this reason, the liability is not clear. If we were to reimburse our customers for these kinds of cases where they call us days later about an undocumented damage, our company would probably go out of business pretty soon. We have no problem paying out documented claims when it's clear that the damage was our fault.
