In summary these guys are unprofessional, horrible communicators, over promise, and under deliver.
I shipped my Lexus RX 330 AWD from Connecticut to California using Specialty Mobile Systems. They subcontracted to Pioneer and told me to contact Kenny or Jack at Pioneer for questions. I called Pioneer three times over three weeks wanting to double check the pick-up date and no one called me back. I left messages with various people at the company asking for Kenny or Jack to call me back (since they don't have voicemail). When the contractual pick-up date arrived they said they couldn't pick it up then (which was problematic since I had a flight to California to catch). When I called Specialty Mobile Systems to complain Pioneer tried to send a regular tow truck to haul my car to Pioneer's shipping dock. I had to point out that my car was an AWD before they would finally send a flat bed tow truck so my transmission would not get destroyed.
My car finally arrived in good condition but it took 2 weeks, instead of the 10 days originally promised. Again, I called Pioneer multiple times while my car was in transport asking for estimates but the majority of my calls were not returned.
If Pioneer is your subcontractor, I would strongly recommend switching. I should have read the other reviews of Pioneer on this website which recommended the same.
