[ More ] | | I spoke with both the driver (owner/operator at DGL Transport) and our customer. They both told me the same thing: The driver accepted the cashiers check no problem. The only thing he mentioned to our customers daughter is that they do not accept personal checks. The vehicle was picked up on a smaller carrier to avoid damage to any vehicles on the load due to low hanging trees in the residential area which we clearly tell our customers will be the case in certain situations. We only use 5 star carriers and they do everything in their power to protect their loads from damage. The customer told me that the vehicle started right away once it was jumped which the driver was willing to do for NO FEE (normally it is $50) but the drivers jumper was down. It is out of the carriers control if the battery in the customers vehicle will not stay charged. The customer told me he had to change the battery recently because the battery kept dying. The vehicle was delivered on time and the driver called the day before to give an estimated time frame (5 hr window) and also called the morning of to give a 2 hr window for delivery. Our customer was not happy because he was given a 2 hr window for delivery (which the driver met). Anybody that has driven a long route knows that it is impossible to give an exact time of arrival, especially when you have 10 vehicles to deliver. Suncoast DOES have a tracking system that helps customers get the status of their vehicles but we did not receive any such requests that were not answered. We also provide all of our customers with the carriers phone number so they can also contact them directly for their convenience. It is unfortunate that we, as the broker used a 5 star rated carrier that did everything they can to make the customer happy, and this person is still not satisfied. All in all, the driver accepted the cashiers check, avoided any damages to the vehicle, called the customer multiple times for delivery status, offered to assist the customer in jumping the vehicle for no fee, and delivered the vehicle on time. | Damaged vehicle and undelivered vehicle | | I contracted with Suncoast Auto Carriers out of Florida. They in turn sub-contracted with Finish Line Auto Transport in Apple Valley, California. [ More ] | | This is a ridiculous claim and this entire review is completely inaccurate and untruthful. This vehicle was not even ready when the driver arrived on pick up because of the negligence of the customer. The driver waited around for 2 days to load this vehicle and because of this, got stuck in a snowstorm which caused delays and damage to carriers truck. We refunded the customers money AS SOON as the carrier was delayed which we did not have to do and still maintained contact with this person and the carrier. This review states that 3000 miles were put on car when the entire route (which carrier was not able to complete due to damage to carriers truck from storm) was only 1000 miles. The carriers leave with full loads which usually consists of 8-10 vehicles. There is only 1 driver (unless there is a team of 2 drivers to speed up the transport time- which in this case there was not) per truck which would make it quite impossible to drive any vehicles unless loading or unloading. The carrier (Finish Line) had a 5 star rating on the national network when this vehicle was dispatched to them. We were in contact with the driver and customer and the driver spoke to customer directly to arrange the pick up of this vehicle so obviously there are no 'ghost numbers' as this person claims. The carrier agreed to refund the total amount back to this person because of Suncoast. It is unfortunate that the carriers truck got seriously damaged in the snow storm and that this caused delays in the vehicle being transported and Suncoast worked diligently to rectify the situation by rescheduling another carrier once weather permitted but this person declined. [ More ] | | It is very hard to understand why this customer is blaming us for the transport of this vehicle. Not at any time has this customer been ignored in phone calls. If you don't leave a message because we were on the phones with another customer then we really won't know to call you back, as all of our customers get responded to in a timely manner. All of the information for his Matson booking was forwarded to this customer. CFR Lines was the carrier contracted on this transport to carry the vehicle to the port and after having break downs with their hauler they were late on delivering this vehicle on time. Suncoast did nothing wrong to prolong the delivery of this vehicle in anyway, CFR Lines were the ones late on this delivery and not because Suncoast didn't do something to prevent the delivery of this vehicle as it has been set up with Matson for a long time and they have been waiting for delivery of it. CFR Lines is telling this customer things to make themselves less at fault as they know they are the ones late on this delivery and are trying to put the blame on us so the customer does not get upset at them. Why would it be our fault? Are we transporting the car? the answer is no, CFR lines has the vehicle and they are the ones late delivering it. Common sense would be to blame CFR lines since they have possession of the vehicle. In doing so CFR Lines has been blacklisted from our company and will never be able to carry vehicles for us in the future. It is unfortunate for the bad experience that this customer has occurred because of the negligence of CFR Lines as the carrier which "used to have great ratings",. But never the less we have been on top of handling everything that needed to be done from the time we found out the vehicle was going to be late and making sure Matson had their paperwork in line for delivery of this vehicle. Vehicle is now being dropped off today not because Suncoast did anything to delay the delivery of this vehicle but because CFR Lines is finally getting to the port to deliver this vehicle. In occurrence of the delay of the vehicle being delivered to the port by CFR Lines we have reduced the cost of this transport by $200 to the customer to help cover any rental fees since the car was delivered late by CFR Lines. CFR Lines is the one reimbursing this $200 fee to this customer for late delivery which we Suncoast made them do as we have been working non stop on this customers behalf even though he has not been the most enjoyable person to work with we have been nothing but very professional in handling this matter for him.
