| Damage | | The vehicle had damage to it. AAAT advertises that they have insurance, but are quick to send an email with legal code attachemetst that they do not have any responsibility. They sent me to the carrier, ASU Auto Transport out of Dayton, Ohio. ASU w... [ More ] | | Our company contacted the carrier AUS Auto Transport in regard to this damage claim. They faxed us a copy of the condition report showing prior damage to the bumper of Mr. Robinson's vehicle at the pick up. Mr. Robinson's father at delivery signed off on the condition report that there were no additional damage.
We did everything to help Mr. Robinson even having the president of our company contact ASU Auto Transport to make sure that they were handling this situation in a professional manner.
The condition of this vehicle was clearly noted, and Mr. Robinson contacted us days after this was delivered with a clean bill of lading at delivery signed by his father. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

| PLEASE READ $1700 in DAMAGE and they "are not responsible" | | I decided to use All America Auto Transport based on the great reviews they received on this website. This car was signed at delivery in good condition. Days later Megan called us claiming that there was something wrong with the traction control. We are very clear in our contract that mechanical and operating parts of vehicles are not covered under the insurance, and that all claims must be noted and signed at the time of delivery.
When Megan contacted our office in regard to this claim, we sent here a claim letter which directs her to contact directly the carrier. Per the Department of Transportation regulations claims are handled directly with the carrier.
We also followed up with the carrier we contracted, CDA Transportation, to ask them to find out from their driver if they could have caused this damage. The dispatcher with CDA Transportation did follow up with the driver, and he stated that he did not do anything out of the ordinary in securing her vehicle. The driver with CDA Transportation has been shipping cars with their company for over 5 years.
Their position in this matter is that the customer signed at delivery that this car was in good condition, and they would have in no way caused a mechanical failure of her traction control.
Megan contacted us back that she was not satisfied, and I reiterated that our company had done all that we could do to help her. It was at this point that I sent her both the carriers certificate of insurance and the Department of Transportation regulations. I also gave her our presidents email address directly if she would want to contact him in regard to her concerns. She never once emailed our president.
The claim that the insurance certificate is not valid is simply not true. We keep all current records of all carriers insurance on file with our company. We will not book a carrier for any of our customers unless we have an up to date insurance certificate.

[ More ] | | In response, I would point out that we quoted this customer a price that was at the current market rate to pay truckers leaving Texas to San Francisco. As we move into summer carriers occasionally get backed up. Since this customer needed this expedited, I did suggest that they pay more so that we could post this to truckers at a higher price to expedite pick up. We usually do not have to up prices, but this was an exception. We do strive to quote our prices as such that cars will move quickly with reliable carriers.
For the record, once I posted this out to carriers above the market rate that we pay to carrier's, we had a truck scheduled. This customer also had a stipulation that this had to be delivered after 6/4.
I can honestly say that I was not rude to either James or his Mom. I actually had a very good conversation with their Real Estate agent to help them understand the situation since there was a bit of a language barrier. We always strive to be completely honest and straight forward in our dealings with customers.
I am sorry for any inconvenience.
