My husband is no longer able to drive due to Alzheimer's and his beloved 2005 Nissan 350Z had been sitting in our garage for a year. I had to start it every week and give it a run periodically. It only had 48K miles on it. With heavy heart he decided to give it to our son-in-law in Dallas. I did a thorough check of companies and finally decided upon Ship-a-Car Direct as they had such good reviews. Quotes received from different companies were all over the place. I really wasn't concerned about the price but wanted somebody who would deliver it as promised and take care of it enroute. They arrived a few hours early to pick it up at a nearby shopping center. After getting it carefully loaded, I felt very comfortable that it would be delivered without any damage. Because of the low body of the car, it took some special handling to get it onto the carrier - and the 6 speed shifting made it more difficult. They had estimated delivery in 3 days and it arrived a day early with no damage. The total price was more than originally quoted but I was told that upon getting a carrier to take the car. I learned a lot about this business in my research - all of these companies are just brokers and the movers work behind the scenes. Fortunately our behind the scenes carrier did a terrific job. Would use them again without hesitation. Overall a very positive experience.
