This was the first time I've ever shipped a car. From what I gathered online and heard from friends, the car shipping business can be incredibly shady. Lots of deception, theft and fees that weren't agreed upon beforehand. Due to all the bad companies out there, it's hard to fully trust any of the good ones until it's all said and done.

With that said, Ship A Car Direct is one of the good ones. Their website has many tutorial videos and actually shows the face of the owner. That was the first good sign. I requested a quote and was contacted by a man named Matt. He was easily reachable by email or phone and was incredibly helpful and direct. I didn't feel like he was going to take my money and become unreachable. A+ service.

Things weren't as great after that. Matt handed me off to their customer support team for any questions about my pickup/transport. They were awful. They didn't seem to know what was going on and instead chose to give vague, uninformative answers. The carrier wasn't answering their phone either. Very frustrating.

My experience turned around again once I was put into contact with the driver. He called me to give me regular status updates and I always felt like I was in the loop. He was an incredibly nice man who seemed to enjoy his job. My only complaint is that he was late on both pickup (two days) and drop off (one day) according to his original estimations. My days were flexible and he had such excellent communication that I didn't mind too much. However, keep it in mind if you're on a tight schedule. Most importantly, my car arrived without any damage to the interior or exterior.

The main points - Matt was an excellent point man for the company. Customer support was terrible. My driver was friendly and communicated very well. My car arrived without any damage. I definitely recommend Ship A Car Direct.

***They offered me a $30 rebate to write a review (positive or negative). I know it's sometimes hard to believe a paid review, but it's only $30 after paying $675 to transport my car. Definitely not enough to buy a positive review from me. If it was a bad experience, I would've trashed them on here and taken my $30 anyway.

Thank you for your thorough feedback! Glad the videos and website were helpful! Sorry your carrier wasn't great at predicting exact drive times. As much as we try to manage for you, carriers provide timing estimates rather than precise timing.
