I arranged to have my SUV shipped from Chicago to southern California the first week of Dec. I packed the car with a few belongs, including bicycles and two small suitcases.
In the end I was satisfied with the overall service. However, until I called a day prior to my pick-up, I never received notice of when my pick-up time would be. The first answer I got was: the driver will call you late this afternoon with a time- he never did. On the second call, the morning of the scheduled pick-up, the time window I was given was between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. That's much too large a window.
On the day of delivery, which was a day later than I was initially told, I again had to call to get a delivery window. All I was told is the driver would call the next day. Sometime.
In the end, both the pick-up and delivery drivers did call a few hours before they arrived. I just wish someone could have told me that at the outset.
Otherwise, the car arrived in good condition. It took a week (initial estimate was 5 days). While no contents were missing from inside the vehicle, it was obvious someone had rearranged some things. Not sure why.
