I had never shipped a car before and had no view on what company would be best to use to do so. When I began to research online, Ship a Car Direct had more reviews than any other broker by far and they were overwhelmingly positive. They aren't made up. My experience was like many of the others I read about: responsive customer service, clear communication around dates for pickup and drop off, and a surprisingly quick turnaround time. My car was picked up on a Tuesday afternoon in New Jersey and delivered three days later on Friday evening in Dallas, TX. For $925, I thought that was a steal. It would have taken me 3 full days of driving to make that trip myself (and with a baby and dog!). My car arrived a little dirtier than when it was picked up (open carrier for 1,500 miles), but it was otherwise just as I had left it. No scratches or dings. A quick car wash and I was good to go.

The thing that clinched my decision to use these guys, reviews aside, was the guarantee to cover any damage in the event that the carrier's insurance wouldn't pay. Combined with the fact that they were proactively weeding out bad apples among carriers, I felt like I had minimal risk. Would definitely use them again for a long move.
